The Story Behind the Photo
Crabs become docile when they are cold. Before cooking them, it’s a good idea to put them in the fridge so they don’t scamper about when going into the steaming pot. This seemed like it would work well for shooting photos of them as well. Unfortunately, I don’t shoot fast and the crabs warmed up. I rarely get wounded while shooting food, but the female crab got a hold of my finger.
